Tea Gardens Ferry runs daily ferry transfers from Nelson Bay to Tea Gardens aboard the YKNOT Catamaran every day of the week. The journey takes approximately 1 hour each way and your time is filled with picturesque views, informative commentary and quite often dolphin watching. Surround yourself with the picturesque views in the bay and watch carefully as dolphins could be waiting round every bend.
Dolphin Watching on the Way to Nelson Bay
With over 120 dolphins estimated to live in the Port Stephens waters, it’s highly likely we’ll spot them on our ferry to Tea Gardens or on return to Nelson Bay. We can never guarantee that dolphin watching will occur on our ferry tours however, we have a 95% success rate! Keep your eyes peeled for dolphin fins and if they’re close enough to the boat, watch with delight as the dolphins frolic and swim alongside our ferry. We also occasionally spot little penguins and green sea turtles during our ferry tours. When you’ve reached your destination there’s plenty more to do! View our recommendations for both Tea Gardens sightseeing and Nelson Bay sightseeing and plan out the rest of your day.
